The times they are a-changing–and that includes Costco‘s COVID-19 policies.
The wholesaler just announced some major news regarding their store hours, closures, and even samples policies that any store devotee should know immediately. Especially if they are planning a trip soon. What are they?
Senior hours are staying–indefinitely. Most Costco warehouses have designated an hour every weekday from 9 to 10 a.m. only for members ages 60 and older or with disabilities. The company announced that guests under the age of 60 will not be admitted during that time. It is unclear when the dedicated shopping hour will end.
Free samples are returning! Chief financial officer Richard Galanti confirmed on a quarterly earnings call recently that they would be bringing back free samples in June after suspending them due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. This is so exciting!
They will be closed on Father’s Day. The site also reveals that locations will be closed on Sunday, June 21 in observance of Father’s Day.
Warehouse hours have gone back to normal (pretty much). According to the company’s press site, as of Monday, May 4, most U.S. Costco locations and Costco gas stations have returned to regular operating hours.
